Confidence doesn’t grow in isolation — it flourishes when women surround themselves with encouragement, accountability, and shared experiences. This case study shows how one WBRC member discovered the power of confidence in community. Furthermore, by stepping into a circle of peers who truly understood her challenges, she gained the courage to raise her prices, pursue bigger opportunities, and step fully into her role as a leader. Her journey proves that confidence multiplies when it’s nurtured collectively.
Member Profile:
- Name: Sarah L. (name changed)
- Business Type: Boutique event planning firm
- Stage: 5 years in business, strong reputation but plateauing growth
The Challenge
Sarah was outwardly successful, but privately she struggled with self-doubt. Additionally, she second-guessed her pricing, hesitated to pitch larger contracts, and often said:
Her words:
“I felt like I was playing small, even though I knew I could do more.”
The Breakthrough
Through WBRC bi-weekly Neighbher level mastermind coaching sessions and the Neighbher Leads peer community support group, Sarah
1️⃣ Raised her pricing to reflect her value. Sarah got clear about her mission and vision for her business, ensured her pricing was in alignment with these and her values. One of the resources she used from the Resource Library was the Master Your Business Future: Vision & Mission Clarity workbook. >>
2️⃣ Practiced pitching high-value clients inside a safe peer group. Next, she worked on her confidence. Her first step was completing the beginner course “Building Confidence Course.” After completing the course, she began posting in her the larger public FB groups to start expanding her reach and refining her voice.
3️⃣ Built confidence by surrounding herself with women walking the same journey. One of the critical steps for Sarah was being active in the monthly networking and bi-weekly group coaching sessions. You can find these sessions in the Community Calendar of events.
The Results
Within 6 months of stepping into WBRC, Sarah:
- Landed her largest contract ever.
- Also, she reported a huge increase in her confidence when pitching new business.
- Began mentoring others, reinforcing her leadership role.
The Lesson
Confidence grows in community. By being seen and supported, Sarah stopped playing small and began to step boldly into bigger opportunities.
