By identifying who you spend your time with and assessing their impact on your happiness and energy, you gain clarity on how these connections support—or hinder—your goals.

Success studies show that your five closest relationships influence your trajectory. By reflecting on these dynamics, you can foster healthier connections, align with supportive people, and cultivate a stronger relationship with yourself—key factors in building a thriving business and fulfilling life.

Purpose

Cleanse your relationship with yourself by gaining clarity around the type of relationship you have with others. By knowing who you spend your time with will empower you to improve the quality of time you spend with yourself. Over the course of our lives we spend most of our time with just 5 people!

Success books say WHO we spend our time with is a key influence on our happiness and whether we succeed or fail. Experience shows happy, successful people spend most of their time with other people who are happy and successful.

Instructions

1.List below the 10 people you spend most of your time with.

2.Next place either a plus sign (+) if you feel good about yourself after spending time with them. You enjoy your time with them, and they are happy and successful in their own way. These are often people you look forward to spending time with or a minus sign (-) if you find after spending time with them you somehow feel ‘less’. Perhaps you feel smaller, less happy or have less energy. These may be people where you may worry or stress unnecessarily before or after seeing them. You probably already have a gut feeling who these people are.

3.Enter a (gut-feeling) score from -5 to +5 for each person to identify HOW much of an effect they have on you.

4.For those people who have the highest and lowest scores, identify and write an action that you can take to improve the score or to continue nurturing the relationship.
